Here are a couple more close up photos. Below is a close up of the red chenille river.
I don't usually like a lot of pink but I do like it here.
This turned out pretty much the way I had envisioned it and I'm happy.

Be sure and view today's earlier post. It has the entire quilt pictured.

Oh wow I clicked on each photo to enlarge it and to see all the wonderful texture in this and it is outstanding. Wonderful artistic art piece. I love it and all those beautiful colours.
This has come so far from it's beginnings...I remember when you were arranging the pieces for it.
The detail is just amazing...I think I probably already said that but, DANG!!!
This is gorgeous!
Jan, YOU ROCK!!!!
Just love all the *stuff*......have to look more.....
XXOO!!

This is a truly amazing piece. Will you sell it? If so, how much (hint hint!!). Gorgeous. I agree about pink usually but it works here. I have been meaning to try these blocks of color--it is a very creative technique.
My gosh Jan that is incredible! Just Gorgeous and the amount of work you put into it is mind boggling.
Truly this is amazing. I have been watching it come today. Just getting to comment today. You have a great talent. I am like Martha, are you going to sell it? Blessings

Thanks Bunny, you flatter me, I know you can appreciate all the work because you do such detailed piecing and quilting yourself.
Thanks Anne for taking a look. Yeah, this one has been on my table for a long time since there was no deadline on finishing it. I enjoyed the whole process.
Hi Martha, I will likely put this into the gallery at some point and offer it for sale which is different from actually selling it;-} I haven't priced it yet. If you ever decide to try this technique I will give you my hints if you want them. The main hint would be to take your time and not rush it.
Marlene, thanks for looking and commenting. Mary told me you had asked her about this piece. Yeah, there are many pleasant hours spent hand stitching this but I'm glad it is finished.
Hello QMMaw, Thank you for your kind words. I want to enjoy it on my wall for awhile but yes, will at least attempt to sell it.
Such beautiful hand work, very inspirational.
I was so amazed when I saw this finished. It is wonderful and so much detail in the embellishment...fantastic!
