Crossing the Red River of Truth
Finally finished it. I put a lot of hand work into this one, even couching all those fibers down by hand, all the bead and sequin work is by hand. The main background is machine stitched.
Angel leading the lost souls across the River.
Close up of a light area.
This whole quilt measures 46"x38".
Be well.

Jan,
This is truly a work of beauty. The time and effort you put into this shows your love for what you do.

Thanks Audrey! I did enjoy creating this even though it took a long time. I'm trying not to hurry through my work. I recently read this quote: "Each thing I do I rush through so I can do something else." that is from a Stephen King book, Insomnia. I don't want to be like that. Slow cloth is what I strive for these days. Thanks for your comments always.
Thanks everyone for looking and commenting. I'm glad you like it. I especially like the angel too, I think I got the skull and the milagros from Anne. I knew they would be perfect somewhere someday.
OMG, Jan...sorry i am just getting here...having a good day today.
THis is outstanding...and the size is fantastic...i had no idea it was this large.
I love the angel too...lots of meaning there...a truly lovely piece...congratulations..
Thanks for all the sweet comments on my blog..

Applause, the angel sigh ok looks a little bit surreal, but it belongs just as it is to your quilt. Great work!
