About a month ago I saw this posted on a friend's Facebook page,
For fun and to spread smiles...Pay it forward 2012...
I promise to make something handmade for the first five who comment.
They must in turn post this and make something for the first five people who comment on their status.
The rules are that it must be made by you and they must receive it
before 2013. It can be as simple as making a friend a cup of coffee.
I joined in and sent out my gifts earlier this week. They are beginning to show up in my friends mail boxes so I thought I would share photos of what I sent out.
They are tiny little folded paper books that I decorated with stamps, tags, fibers and other bits and bobs. They are only about 3 inches square.
It was a fun project and made me feel good to Pay It Forward. Thanks, Dolly, for the incentive.
If I brought a little surprised smile to six friends faces this week it was worth it.
I hope they all enjoy paying it forward too.
Be well.

In the first photo my booklet is in the very back, and the last photo is a pic of my little booklet. It is so lovely. Tealish with lavender hues. It's beautiful, and especially special because JAN made it for MEE!!! Many pockets hold little secret gifts! Oh, so wonderful!
My 'Pay It Forwards' are almost ready to be mailed, so my recipients will be receiving them soon. I will value this gift almost as much as I value your friendship, Jan. Thank you again!
Love it! What a wonderful act of kindness Jan! Congrats to the recipients. Love it!
Marvelous little surprises to receive, these are charming. xox Corrine
Having received my little book earlier this week, you already know I love it!! The colors are beautiful, the decorations are beautiful and fun, and I love the little pockets with small works of art in them.
What special little gifts, Jan, that you made with love. Thank you.
I got no takers when I posted Pay it Forward, but I will try again soon.

What lovely little treasures & a generous idea. Now you've got the book bug you won't be able to stop!
Hi, Jan. Just happened upon your interesting blog. Lovely idea, the mini-books as gifts. Also enjoyed your quilts and photos of farm life. I live on a small farm as well, which means I have a rather large garden to play with.
