Blue House Cafe display

I was invited once again to bring some of my work in to hang on the walls of the Blue House Cafe in Vernonia, Oregon.

It's a nice space, serves wonderful Mediterranean food, and sometimes live music on the weekends.

If you can stop in there, tell Eleanora, the woman who runs it, hi from Jan, and buy a Gyro platter.

I've been making quilts this winter.  Above is one, the pattern which I purchased from Keepsake Quilting, is called a Dime quilt.
I finished it last night.  I like it, not my usual all bright colors.

This is another one I'm working on.  I have the top finished but keep putting off basting it for lack of sufficient space to spread it out.  It measures 90 inches by 90 inches.  The dime quilt is only 56 inches by 64 inches, much more manageable.
So that is what I've been up to.  How about you?  Are you keeping busy this winter?  Nearly spring now.  Daffodils are blooming here.

Be well.

Very Cool!
I am NOT a 'sew"-er and am in awe of those who are so creative with fabric. Very nice!
No daffodils here. :(
Warmed up a tiny bit but is supposed to snow again this week.
I guess that means I'll just appreciate Spring that much more!

Beautiful fiber works. You are such a talent. I love the calm feeling of the bluey quilt and the earthiness of the brown one.
I've been treading the water of life this winter....hope to find inspiration in new endeavors as the weather warms.

Your quilts are really beautiful. I don't have that particular skill set (unless you count a crazy quilt, I could maybe do one of those). we have daffs blooming, and temps on the rise! yippee! xox

You have been very busy and creative! I love the quilts you've made. The calm colors of the first are lovely and restful and the more vivid colors and shapes in the second one are wonderful! Seeing you work in person is worth a trip to Vernonia. Thanks for sharing.

Nice quilts. You have been pretty darned busy. Looks like a great place to display your quilts too!

No daffs here. Its snowing/freezing rain right now. That stinking little rodent sure got it wrong THIS year...again!

Your work looks stunning there Jan, so vibrant. Love the two new quilts as well. Only the little Tete a Tete daffs are blooming here. The big ones are way behind this year.
