More fabric hearts

Here is one more look at the fabric hearts I made and gave away at Christmas.

l
The blue one above I intend to give to the woman who runs the cafe where I had my work hung for the past two months.  It is down now, I still need to go pick it up though and I will give her this then.  One piece sold.  Evidently there was a couple traveling through town on their honeymoon clear from England.  I am quite honored that they chose my piece to go back home with them.

I need to settle down and make some plans and goals.  I have been tidying up the studio, taking care of loose ends, also planning to teach a class on journal making this Saturday so have been preparing for that.  I have never done this before so wish me luck.  Our weather has been absolutely lovely for several days now.  Freezing cold but sunny days and starry nights.  It is supposed to change tomorrow, back to rain.  That will certainly put me in a studio state of mind.  I want to get busy on another dooleybobber, enough with the hearts already!  I hope you are all enjoying the new year and I look forward to seeing what you all post.  Until then,
Be well.

Beautiful hearts!

Good luck with the class I am sure you will do a great job. I wish I were there I would sign up for it. I just found out that I have lost my job of 25 years so I will soon have time to try mixed media.

You asked about the string of pearls, I water mine every couple of weeks but it is in a very small pot that drys out quickly.

Hi Jan.
Congratulations on your sale. How very exciting that it went across the ocean to England.
I sure wish I could take your class ~ I would if I lived there. I hope you can post some pictures from the class - perhaps a journal or two.
Your hearts are beautiful and I will love seeing another dooleybobber!!
It has been pleasant here for the past couple of days. Not sure what is in store with the weather.
Take care.

Hey Jan,

Love all those hearts hanging together~~they are beautiful! Bet you could play with the photos, do some cropping and make some greeting cards!
You'll do fine with your class; you're good at what you do and calm, so don't fret. I am sure everyone will have a ball! But good luck wishes anyway!!!
We're freezing here too...except almost all the time. Calling for snow. *sigh*

XXOO~~♥

I love your hearts! They are simply charming. :) Congrats on the sale of the painting. When my DH and I were in England (the first time, a billion years ago), we bought a painting from a local artist and brought it home with us. I love it, and it reminds me of a very happy time we had together. xox

Jan, these hearts are so sweet! I really like them! I know that Eleanora is gonna love the "Gratitude" one. And how wonderful that you sold one of your pieces...and to someone in England. So cool! I am honored that you are doing our journal class. I'm excited, and can't wait for Saturday to get here. I know that you will be great, and that everyone will enjoy their finished product. You will be perfect, my friend. Thank you for being 'YOU.'

I must have missed you getting a show, brilliant! One is better than none. I've got to teach a recycling fabric into wonderful things next month - I need to get on with the samples! (haven't done one for adults before...!) Are you taking a sample? I like/need those at a w/s. Good luck! Pics please ;)
