another beaded thing

I never quite think of good titles for these little doodle bits I make. This one was inspired by a colorful piece I saw on Judi Hurwitts blog, Approachable Art, specifically here: http://approachable-art.blogspot.com/2010/02/artraw-09.html They are nothing alike other than the horizontal lay out, but still I may as well give credit where credit is due. I like working with these bits of dyed scrim that I have. Also I stitched in lots of beads and a few bits of shell I picked up. This piece measures about 12.5" x 12.5".

Be well.

I really like the way the scrim looks in the "big" picture - it doesn't really show up well in the smaller image.

Of course, LOL, I'm a big fan of beads and sparkles and shimmery things, so the embellishments look terrific to me.

I love it Jan! It is so well stitched and beaded---your patience for beading amazes me, and kinda makes me pea-green with envy too! (my patience has diminished and the fingers don't work like they used to---HA!)
Lovely. And small sizes are always nice to work with as there is a lot that can be said in 12 1/2" square...

XXOO!!

Jan! I'm flabberghasted that you were inspired enough by a piece of my work to create something yourself, what a huge compliment!! :D This piece is really lovely and your bead work is scrumptious. Well done! :D

Thanks for looking closer, Tristan. Somethings are worth taking a closer look at. These small pieces get lost in a far back look. As opposed to close up.

I dunno Anne, I just can't stop sometimes when it comes to beading.

Judi, thanks for stopping in to take a peek.

Hello, Ms. Tangible, yes, like waves, maybe you have given me an idea for a name for this piece. I must think about it.

It seems I am always telling you that I love a piece that you post. And now you've done it again. This is wonderful, Jan. I have been wanting to do some type of fiber piece and this one REALLY inspired me. LOVE the use of color and all that beading!!!

Thanks, Audrey! This piece practically put itself together. It turned out well but was so intuitive. I will be thrilled if I have inspired you!
